Muchi Muchi Anago
Intro
Though often generalized as a 'band', Muchi Muchi Anago differs quite a lot from the average definition. The group is comprised of 12 members - most of them come from various bands in the underground Tokyo music scene. They have released three official tracks on two omnibus CDs, sell tapes and videotapes, and actively play lives, though 'play' is another term used quite loosely.
In fact, many of the members are simply there to dance and have a good time on stage, and freely admit to not knowing the lyrics to their own songs. They've also had a bit of fun creating their own ridiculous stage personas just for this band. Muchi Muchi Anago is probably best described as a group of musicians in bizarre costumes, leading the audience in hand dances to strange electronic music, which accompanies high-pitched vocals.
The group maintains a strong following due to the hilarity of their shows and the all around good time one has participating in Muchi Muchi Anago performances, not to mention the popularity that the members' musical connections bring.
